Well - Did Roger Clemmens use steroids? Why did the Pats use illegal videotaping? Why do NASCAR crew chiefs get suspended for "Tweaking their drivers cars outside of the bounds of the rules?
I think it is for the thrill of the chase - catch me if you can attitude. This is a game - but the bragging rights are high - not like the million dollar pays from the above mentioned.

Hmm, that really doesn't answer the question. And wasn't it you Gonser that posted the link to the "AA Tweak guide" www.tweakguides.com/AASF_1.html which in the Advanced section goes into changing settings in the armyops.ini file. So were you condoning and encouraging "Hacking"? No I think not. So not all changes to the ini file are hacking. Some are just performance possibilities that may or may not solve or improve the game. And is the mouse wheel fire an actual cheat, exploit or what. Is it just a key bind to the wheel rotation for firing (in which case I really don't think that should be called a hack. Since anyone could easily do it. I mean shit key binds are openly discussed and encouraged even on the damn AA forums). In which case am I a hacker because I have my "Report in" "Reload" & "bi pod" keys mapped to buttons on my mouse. Its a personal preference that works for me. But does it give me an advantage, I would have to say yes when im in a 203 battle on top of cp at close range. Other than that, I don't know. And you told me last night that the cvar list can be anything. Like i jokingly asked about adding flashbangs to that list so if they were used you would be kicked. And your reply was yes anything could be on that list. So I am alsoo confused what constutes hack, exploit or just creative key mapping.

Hmm, that really doesn't answer the question. And wasn't it you Gonser that posted the link to the "AA Tweak guide" There are some things that you can tweak such as cachesizemegs and I even believe you can adjust your sound and video to a certain extent... then there are things you are not supposed to tweak such as fire rates and god only knows what else FMA are using. I have some things in my INIs that are tweaked, but it's all to make the game run smoother and look better, not to adjust the way my weapons fire and that such.

Personally, all I care about is ME on this whole damn issue. And why is it an issue, omfg. But back to ME and my mouse. Those settings would not be considered hacks right. So I am not a hacker and can say it with pride right. Yes / No. Not that anyone would think that (but I actually did get accused of it once, and the guy was serious too. OMFG!!) since I'm usually the first to die. But as far as FMA, to bad so sad for them. Don't care they just aren't worth the effort, mostly for their attitude as someone else has said before (a very wise, distinguished, upstanding and even church going individual)(that last part gave it away didn't it) and I agree. So lets all agree JDS is not, could not and would not be a hacker. Hooah, subject terminated. The End.

Might as well throw my two-sense into the matter. In my opinion, hacking the modification or additions of files to give someone an unfair advantage ie aimbots, wireframe graphics, wallhacks and the like. However in the case off FMA with their mouse wheel bind that is more of a personal, and unanimous preference I would say. It's not a hack or an exploit since anyone can do it, even from the ingame controls menu. However, though of us who want to play more "realistically" wouldnt be firing a standard issue M16A2 with a wheel but rather with a trigger and it would fire only as fast as we could pull the trigger. So due to the preferences, and thereby rules of USX and GTFOL servers we do not allow, condone, or promote mouse-wheel fire binds. With that said - and being the fair person that I am - add mouse wheel as a cvar violation to all our servers and unban those that use it and let them get the message that way.

I dare say the pull on my mouse is slightly lighter than that of a trigger... but point taken nonetheless..

Here is a pistol mouse. Originally it was going to go for almost $70. Now you can get it for $9.99. Guess it didn't take off, not enough buttons for me. www.monstergecko.com/products.html

just a regular optical more for me. lol JD. but in reality it is fairly easy to adjust the pull weight of a trigger - though no where near as light as that of a mouse, it makes it easier to pull rapidly - than it is to make the gun full auto

I think being able to fire the weapon faster is just a nice bi-product.

i didnt say lessening the pull weight was TO make you be able to pull faster only that doing so makes it possible

No - ever since the latest round of PB updates - many (including me) have had black screen shots. I put a trouble ticket into PB and they gave me a lame ass answer about the useual driver/card issue. I had never changed my setup and after the upbates have not been able to get rid of the Black ss. It used to be the newer cards that had the problem but I run a 6800 and have the latest driver.
